Hughes & Coleman Joins #MissingType to Help Promote Blood Donations
August 25, 2016
The number of first-time blood donors per year has dropped by nearly 30% since 2005. As a result, millions of patients risk not getting the infusions they need to survive critical procedures and traumatic injuries.
In fact a single car accident victim can require as many as 100 pints of blood, according to the Red Cross.
At Hughes & Coleman Injury Lawyers, we’re especially concerned about this situation because our clients often require the exact kind of emergency care that’s impacted by the shortage. That’s why we’re proud to stand with organizations around the world and join the #MissingType movement!
The goal of this movement is to call attention to the need for everyone to take a few minutes to donate blood that directly helps save lives every day. To show our solidarity we’ve removed the letters A, B and O from our logo.
Hughes & Coleman will also be continuing to promote the importance of blood donations within the communities we serve. Stay tuned for more on this subject, and discover your nearest Red Cross blood donation station on their website!
